Resort Hotel / Restaurant Operation
Tara Gaon Development Board has been running three small
resort hotels under its direct management. These are
Tara Gaon Nagarkot Resort, Tara Gaon Kakani Resort and
Tara Gaon Pokhara Resort Hotel.
Nagarkot
 Nagarkot is a unique hill station with breathtaking
view of snowcapped mountain range. It is an important
destination for both sun rise and sun set view. Unique
natural beauty including wild animals and birds, natural
vegetation, medicinal plants are the spatial feature
of Nagarkot. Rural life of surrounding villagesand
their culture are equally appealing attractions for
tourists visiting Nagarkot.
Tara Gaon Resort Hotel Nagarkot run by Tara Gaon Development
Board is situated in a beautiful location on the way
to view tower at a height of 7133 ft. above mean sea
level. It is very close to Bhngeri Durbar- the summer
palace of Shree 3 Maharaj Juddha Sumsher Rana, the ruler

Kakani
 Kakani, lying in the central hilly region of Nepal,
is a diverse natural tourist destination located at
a distance of 28 Km. from Kathmandu. It lies in the
north-west of Kathmandu Valley. Kakani, one of the attractive
tourist locations of Nuwakot district, is just one hour
scenic driving from Kathmandu along the Kathmandu -Trisuli
Highway. Kakani is 45 minutes up-hill walk towards Kakani
village from Kaulethana Bhyangyang. It is a perfect
place for natural beauty close to Shivapuri National
Park. The destination is the best place for watching
sunset view. Scenic attraction of forested hills, terraced-slopes
and village settings are the additional tourist attractions
of Kakani. It is the home for rare Spinney Babbler with
other wild animals and birds, orchids, holy ponds, waterfalls
and medicinal plants as well.
Tara Gaon resort hotel is located at Kakani hilltop
and attached to summer holiday home of British Ambassador.
The destination is also closed to Thai Memorial Park,
Mountain Museum and International Jamboree. Visitors
can see the excellent mountain view of Ganesh Himal,
Langtang, Annapurna, Manslu, Lotse including the highest
peak of the world Mt. Everest from the resort complex.

 Pokhara
Pokhara located at a distance of 200 km from
Kathmandu along Prithvi Highway appears as the second
important tourist destination of Nepal. The city lying
in the central part of Nepal is the perfect place for
tourists, and gateway to Annapurna trekking circuit,
Jomsom trail and Kaligandaki river rafting. The combination
of sun, fun, music, and a wide variety of meal has been
the most desire feature of Pokhara. Pokhara is a tranquil
valley with scenic of Fewa Lake, greenery, David Fall,
Mahendra cave, hidden rushing Seti River. The destination
is connected with both air and motorable route from

TGDB has also run Tara Gaon Fewa restaurant within the complex of Tourist Service Centre (TSC) at Dam site in Pokhara where Immigration service, trekking permits, quick photo service, money exchange counter, tourist information services are also available. The restaurant facing Fewa Lake-one of the most attractive tourist attraction of Pokhara, serves its guests with typical Nepalese, Chinese and Continental cuisine.
